This palm is on the median in front of the Wynn;

These pictures are of the waterfalls at the Mirage;

There were a lot of other palms and cycads to see including at the Sahara. We used our time on other things.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Allen nice photos of those palms "Brahea armata silver form". Hey what is more important than posting palm photos from Vegas. Then again winning some cash is good also. Hope you did well?

I lost everything that I gambled and it didn't take too long. Fortunately my wife won more than the $4 that I lost. 😆 We both got some really good quality shoes and clothing at very nice prices.

5 days hardly dented what we wanted to see. There are a lot of cycads in the Sahara Hotel's front garden that I didn't get to look closely at.

We learned to visit during the week. After noon on Friday we were up to our ears in people and waiting in line-ups for everything.

During the week everyone treated us like we were special. Hotel staff, store clerks, bus drivers, local residents. After Friday afternoon all bets were off for the store clerks and bus drivers. I can't blame them at all. Us tourists were a stressed out bunch getting nowhere but from one lineup to another.

Usually I don't like tourist traps . We will most likely going back in the fall to see what we missed on this trip.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden was the 3rd item on our list to see. Who would put chocolates and cacti together?

I never did go inside the building. Our bus tour stopped there for 35 minutes. I walked through the cactus garden snapping pics as quickly as possible. I didn't have near enough time. I tried to swipe one pad from an Opuntia Imbricata. It took 2 days to get all of the spines out of my fingers. Several of the Agaves(one victoria & one unmarked) didn't do too well. Some of the chollas sustained some damage. I haven't downsized the pics as yet but will post some when I get it done.

It was the best part of going there. I had to rush through the Sahara's palm and cycad garden as well and didn't take any pics.
