Larry's big Trachy move on Vancouver Island.

Corbin & I helped Larry for a day move as this mature Trachy was in need of a rescue. The tree was given to Larry so he handed the owner an olive tree. The owner has another palm but is not a palmnut. These are images of the fall move of a mature Trachy estimated at 15 ft by Larry. He called me up after seeing my daring palm move in June. I expect to repeat a two-storey palm move next spring along with a more normal one-storey palm move. Two palms are in need of a home in Victoria but the owners have agreed they can wait until spring. I'm landscaping over dead space to create a haven for homeless palms. No palm is too tall. The biggest Cordyline move (attempt) in BC may also occur. This coast is great as people call me up to dig out mature palms. I like weekends: "Hey, buddy can you dig out my palms?" But this time it was: "Can you help me dig out a big Trachy?" Why not? It's nice to help out other palmnuts like me. Thanks for the help, Corbin. Nice retirement palm, Larry.
