Barb, looks like you got it all working in your world; the spindle and triaqngle have new fronds, the frogs are caring for your palm trees and your a mother to a new robin. Maybe if you have nothing to do tomorrow you can teach the baby robin how to get up a head of steam and fly higher than s/he ever thought possible. (kind of a motivational speech thing). Keep up your good work. everything looks wonderful.

Kent in Kansas
where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)

Kent, 😆 😆 yup, my life is full 😆

Steve, I bought those at RONA (kinda like a Lowe's) last winter.
They looked suitable for palm pots.

Time will tell how they hold up. They're fiberglass "stronger and lighter than clay or ceramic planters", according to the tag. "Waterproof and weatherproof, won't break if it freezes, ideal for indoor/outdoor use; crack, chip and fade resistant, made of heavy-duty fiberglass with reinforced cast resin."

The one-inch base looks and feels like a clay saucer, has a drain hole.
Just hope the fiberglass and resin stuff doesn't poison the soil.

Can't remember exactly but think the big one was $25.00, the smaller ones $18.00 ??

Barb,

Those should last quite a while, I believe fiberglass resin is fairly inert when cured, so you don't have to worry about anything leaching out of it. Now, if I could just find some of those around here 😀

It's reassuring that the plants should be safe in those pots.

Will look for more of those pots over the winter 'coz I'm planning to buy some more palms (mail order). 😀 😀
Mail order is the only way for me to get the palms I want.

Gone are the days of me waiting for palm seeds to pop...
besides I only want one of each on the wish list.
