White-tailed deer

whitetails will eat the bumper off a Ford.
Very destructive here, standing up on their hind legs and tearing ALL the bark off fruit trees; fortunately we have more mule deer than whitetails.
They just nibble at stuff.

Cougar! OMG 😯 😯
Dawn and dusk are the most dangerous times.
There have been cougar attacks nearby recently too.

Jim, glad you'll get rain...about time, huh?
Way too late for drought-stricken farmers unfortunately.

But not to late for the Castor beans that have got to be around 13' now,
if we get 4"+ of rain they may clear 15'

So has the rain started, Jim?
You running around naked yet?

I can imagine the smell of the hot soil as it gets rain...at first it always smells like burnt skin from the BBQ 😆 😆 😆

Don't even fart next to them, they blow over that easy!

We may get storms and heavy rainfall yet-this week.

I better take some pics of the Castors in case they are blown away.

They have to be 13' now and just waiting for some heavy rain to move again...
they have been around 12' since the beginning of July.

Something I am not used to feeling today....81F with 74% humidity and 72F dewpoint!

--this is normal here but lately some of our lines look like this 97F humidity 8% dewpoint 30F.

Yeah they are pretty heavy, it fell on the Trachy but it will recover, the castor is just blocking a lot of its light and scuffed up the leaves a little. Thats all.
