Anyone growing any Palms aquatically?
Have had these Chamaedorea cataractarum fully submerged for about 5 years now, every year they flower, eventually the roots grow out of the top of the containers and down. 😀
Also trying a Zamia roezlii in a aquatic/semi-aquatic setting, (both fronds emerging are new since planted)

Steve,
Well done!
You're obviously giving preferred conditions with air pump, etc.
My cat palm is toast. It wasn't enough to simply let water sit in the saucer.
Wonder, though, why the Nypa was extra fussy.
The Egyptian papyrus will love those conditions (with the Zamia).

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
Great photos, Steve!
It would never have occurred to me to grow an aquatic palm. I learn so much here. Thanks for turning me onto it last year. --Erik
