If memory serves me, the "silver" is evident after freezing temps at or near the threshhold of their survival.
Hardly a moment worth waiting for IMHO.

Well... The regular queens do fine here (If I don't fry them with lights 😯 ). So these may have a bit more hardiness. I get some frond burn, but by June they are back to looking great...
