Queen palm in the middle of the jungle.

Half a 5 gal bucket of the red Butia fruit. These are the redest I have ever found. The home owner calls it Scarlet Butia.

Scarlet mandarin seedling. Will be interesting to see what type of fruit this produces.

Seto satsuma.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

I'll have some seed available in a week or so, after I have them cleaned.

Thanks for posting those great shots! You do get some impressive growth with the long growing season there.
I can see your fondness for the variegated plants. 😀 Any plans for making preserves from the Butia fruit?

Cheers, Barrie.

Hey Barrie. No, too much work. Hell if I was going to make anything it would be wine. 😉

The Butias are loaded this time of year, each rack of seed is about 100 lbs. Most trees have 2 racks with some having 3-4 racks. Most people cut them off and throw them away right after the pod opens so they don't have to clean up all the fruit when it drops to the ground.

Great pics Laaz. When do you think those silver Queen palms will start to change a more silver tint.

Wow, Todd, has everything grown like mad.
Love the jungle pic up into the palms!
and that Waggie is a gorgeous specimen.

Both my Calamondin orange are dead, so congrats on your citrus passion.
Whatever you do it works.

I still remember when you brought in all that pine mulch.
BTW where are "the boys"?

Thanks for the great pics.
