Hi CT

Think you're trying to upload pic from an Iphone?

Have a read here...on how to get Iphone pic loaded to a photo host like Flickr without corrupting your picture by messing with it on your phone.

HI CT, congrats on getting that link perfect.
(Ignore my IPhone link!) 😀

The tall skinny trunked palms are Coconut palms, Cocos nucifera , "the paradigm of the tropics and tropical beauty", according to Riffle & Craft.
I think the shorter one in foreground is a Sabal palmetto.

Is that a pic from a recent trip?
If so, we need MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE pics. 😆

Yes Barb

I was in Aruba a couple of weeks ago

I didn't think they were coconut palms because the didn't have any coconuts on them and they had little baby seedlings near them.

Many coconut palms are "de-fruited" by hotels etc so their guests don't get clunked on the head passing beneath them.

they had little baby seedlings near them

Strap leaves = new palms.

Or sprouted fruit/pits/stones from tourists dropping seeds from lunch?

Too bad tourists don't drop Cervesa seeds... :occasion5:

Hey CT, that was a very fast fix.
Hey CT, that was a very fast fix.
:laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:

None of our palms will ever look like they do in Aruba...but we can sure give it a good ole' college try.
And remember that Arubians (?? 😛 ) would love to grow a Fir or Spruce tree.

Dean...palm trees with seeds are boring?
Nope, never, not on a bad / good day.
You have been away too long!

What a fabulous resort, Paul...

That palm-lined promenade to the pool is beautifully laid out and landscaped.

By the way, the tall palms on each side of that promenade with the silver-grey clear trunks up to the crownshaft, those are not COCOS palms.
Cocos (coconut palms) are the ones you see at the beach, and near the Happy Island boat (in pic).

Thanks for the pics.
Anybody else know the names of palms on each side of the brick path to the pool?
