Hey Bill, thanks.

John's probably cringing that I'm planning to leave "his" filiferas in the ground over winter 😆 😆 but I'm gonna give it a try. His are in a far more sheltered area at his place than these will be, so I'm a little worried.

He said he'd come up and help me build the winter protection for the Trachy too.
(How's the memory John?) 😆 😆

Absolutely Barb I haven`t forgotten about building shelters for your palms. I have never planted any of my Washy`s so it should be interesting to see how they do this El nino winter. Those are W. filifera so they should be a little cold hardier than W.robusta. I`ll pm you with what I think you should purchase for your shelters. How long have they been planted?

John,
Great! Thank you.
I'll stock up on beer!

BTW, I'm thinking of getting those warming cables (like Bill Ma uses).
And I'll have done all that prep work before you arrive.

I also heard it was going to be an El Nino winter...that'll be a nice payback from the brutality of last winter.

I'm wondering if I should dig out and pot up one of the 3 Filifera late September, early Oct...just in case the other two croak during their first winter outside.
I planted them this Spring.
They spent last winter in the cold building and did great. 😀

Barb just to let you know about the cables they are not supposed to overlap each other. I wouldn't let that persuade you though.

Thanks, Bill.
The PDF file on the cables was very clear about that. Actually a good read, with layout suggestions.

I'm having trouble deciding between heavy duty cables and the regular ones.

The price difference isn't all that much I don't think. They will help a ton in the spring when the ground is still cold. That's is whats going to save my washys.

Gotta tell ya I received my Palms North t-shirts (ordered two).

And despite the t-shirts being of excellent quality, I don't look anything like Linda modelling them.
Damn.

Good to hear you received them Barb. 🙂

The models are provided by the service (store) I use for the shirts. 😀
