I took a couple pics yesterday of some sleeping cacti while I was out trying to build a snowman with my kids. 😀

Looking good Jay!!

I have been thinking of starting a cacti gardem myself. What are some varities you would recommend for a zone 6?

Not the pot I was expecting........

My cacti don't lay down like that Jay. They do turn the same blue grey color but stay erect.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Thanks guys. Most of my Opuntia stand straight up all year but some lay down and perk up after winter.

Cali, I would try Opuntia Humifusa, machrorhiza, basilaris. Those should do good in zone 6. I have over a dozen different varieties growing around my yard. I have only lost a couple cacti last winter so I think I have a good selection so far. 🙂
