IgorI think your 'glauca' which died from moisture is really a form of Y. angustissima. They can look very similar but angustissimas perform VERY poo...

I dug my Agaves up, tossed they in containers with no soil, placed them in my unheated garage and they did fine. They look great in the garden again....
