My yuccas grow in 90% sand - that's how my garden soil is like, and they seem fine, at least until winter. Will tell you in few months if they survive...
I live in a zone 5b where we have winters with over 2 feet of snow in a storm. Lows are about -8f. to -15f. most winters. :wink: Build a good well ...

If the seeds are viable, I see no reason why you shouldn't germinate them now. Just keep them warm, and give plenty of light when first sprouts appear...
Wish I can grow them outdoor, but here's too damp & cold during winter, plus they grow incredibly slow and are very expensive :)
