Yea BarbSometime I leave them in and sometimes I takethem out and put electrical tape over them,I don't thinkit matters either way as I have also left...

Looks good-make sure you mulchheavily and put a remote sensor(thermometer)near the spears at least -the mulch inside alsoprotects your palm from havin...
