I like the spotting on the trunk and leaves. Will they stay spotted?

The trunk has some nice coloration, I had just rinsed it off when I took the the photo, otherwise the leaves are a nice dark green.

For a zone 10B/11 plant, I am impressed how well this has done inside! ( no leaf drop, no spider mites, etc)

Hey Steve, you've done a nice job for a tree that had only one leaf.

Here's mine (to the right of Trachy) in the cold building.

Cinnamon (canella) prefer warmish winter temps, mine's flagging.
Had it in only 2 hours of sun each morning on the patio last summer.
Some leaves sunburnt badly from even that short exposure.
I think in habitat these are understory trees.

I think Cinnamon likes high humidity and shade.

There was no tag/stickers when I bought it, ( Probably came from Costa )
I think it was only $1.00 😀 The Lowes here seems to process returns from the other branches, so every now and then something interesting will show up.

Costa Farms has some very nice specimens heading into Canada.
Varieties (like the Canella) I've never before seen for sale here.

Great that your Lowes is consolidating returns there.
I'd be in there every other day in the Fall. 😉

I've occasionally found some "prizes" still on the shelf early October.
Picked over, picked at, nearly dead.
And nobody but me knows what it is, ha ha 😆

Barb, I'm just happy it's growing, it can bloom whenever it wants 😀

For the last two years in a row, WalMart and Lowes have always brought in larger Sagos & Pygmy Dates in February, already have some room set aside!

Walmart just got a new load at their Clareview store. They are not selling anything yet because their supplier screwed up the order and they are counting it. Most of the items are still in boxes. I did notice that they had quite a few Majesty and Chinese Fan palms as well as some Cycas Revoluta and bananas--probably Dwarf Cavendish. They should be ready to sell tomorrow.

Not bad mid-winter stock. The Vernon RONA hasn't got one plant... maybe a silk tree at the door!
Had to go all the way to Kelowna's RONA, where there's the most beautiful huge GH absolutely chock full!!! DROOL.
I could LIVE in there!

To the right of the spindles is a Sansiveria (sp?) affectionately-called Mother In-Law's Tongue 😕 and apparently
the most indestructible houseplant. Well it took me a long time but I managed to kill one.
