Ya no kiddin' ... everything looks great!!! Do you give away or sell any extra citrus fruit that you can't use? With the high cost of gas, people here are looking locally but even that isn't cheap sometimes. Thanks for posting.

Cheers, Barrie.

Trying to figure out why this Calamondin orange has hardly any leaves each year around this time.
Any tips?

The other two Calamondins seem better. Could it be the difference between plastic and clay pots?

Thanks
Barb

What are you fertilizing with, Barb?

Used a weak solution of 20-20-20 when it finally warmed up this year.

The first pic doesn't show the new leaves that are emerging.
The other two plants get the same care at the same time.

Interseting! I don't know what else to say besides the watering regime. Maybe, Todd, will answer you here.

Looks like a nutrient deficiency. If you keep these plants above freezing all year, I would fertilize them year round. It also looks like that plant is a rooted cutting with all the branches coming up from the soil.

Good point about a rooted cutting.
It's sure different than the other two, but it's
putting out a ton of blossoms, probably because it's not thriving.
Thanks.

It's going to take a full year to get some orange fruit on this calamondin orange.
😆 😆
I'll take Todd's advice and fertilize more regularly.

It must've known what Todd said 😆 , coz half of it croaked the next day.
I've had it for eons; it just never thrived.

Todd was right, several rooted cuttings.

But the twin Calamondins (beside the dog) are doing great.

The dog's probably hoping they're limes for the Corona...
