This old Selloum was ready to bust out of the pot. Lots of white fleshy roots. Soil was dry as popcorn.

All my larger plants are getting repotted into plastic garbage cans.
Lots of room for roots.
Some of the roots I worked apart were five feet long. Many broke from handling.

This guy took a beating but should be happy now.

None of these big pots would be feasible without that tractor.
Saves the back...and shoulders 😉

Barb,

How is yours doing now in it's new home?
Mine is starting to send up leaves about every 2 weeks.

The roots are starting to creep out and look for new victims 😀

Yours looks good, way ahead of mine.
Just "thinking" about starting new leaves. All caudex seem firm and healthy.
Will post new pic once the beggar flushes.

Oughta be able to stay in its new garbage can pot for many years, preventing the root circling hopefully.
Not really pretty in that pot, but hey, plant health comes first before beauty.
😀
