Anyone got one of these or better yet, know what it is? My wife came home with this and it had the usual annoying tag, 10" tropical. Why do they even bother.

Cheers, Barrie.

Hey Laaz (Todd) long time no hear. 😀 Hope all is well at your end.
I did get an ID from a fellow enthusiast in California. He identified it as Ctenanthe pilosa (pronounced ~ ten-ANTH-ee ~ py-LOH-sa) and has only been available for the past 6 or 7 years. This one is supposedly the most frost tolerant of the bunch but still rated as a 9b/10a plant. I'll put the main plant inside and experiment with mulching etc and a well sited spot in my 8b climate (from division as a returning perennial).

Cheers, Barrie.
