Just received 2 new bamboo. One is a 2nd gen seedling of Fargesia Nitida, the other is a large rhizome cutting from a relatively rare bamboo Phyllostachys Parvifolia. Touted as a large hardy timber bamboo for "cold climates". Culms are said to take around -20C or more. The roots are as hardy or hardier then areosulcata or bissettii. It is in a large pt to establish. YEs the pot looks big, but that is how big the rhizome is!
