Kumquats readily hybridise with other members of the genus Citrus and with the closely related Poncirus. These hybrids are known as Citrofortunella; examples include the limequat, orangequat, and calamondin.

My Calamondin (apart from having fewer leaves) is similar to your Kumquat!

Does your Kumquat grow in winter too? The twin Calamondins from one pot that I separated
are putting on new growth in the cold building 😯

I'd say its a couple of years old at least. I like your Calamondin. Yes, it does grow slowly during the winter. The fruit are begining to ripen at the right time. I already had a few fall off the tree.

Fruit doesn't fall off my calamondin...just hangs there and eventually shrivels up. 😐

I have a child's small paintbrush that I use to brush pollen from flower to flower
just to get things going in case there are no insects around.
