Steve, wanted to show you that pricey pot (only cost $40 U.S. versus $120 at Art Knapps Garden Center).

Not really suitable for a big plant/tree 'coz of its "waistline". The tree's roots would fill the bottom and it would never be able to slide out for repotting. I usually set a potted tree like my hibiscus in it to summer on the patio.

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.

That is a nice looking container, the blue tubs I've been using are sort of an eyesore as far as landscaping goes. May try to construct some wooden boxes to hide them.

( but will probably put that off till the neighbors complain....lol

I think the blue tubs are fine!~

But you could use a plastic spray paint (like for plastic lawn furniture).
I haven't tried it on anything but lawn furniture.

Ha ha, like the neighbours would complain about PALM HEAVEN!

Not sure I would want to know the neighbors thoughts of my efforts to grow Palm trees here 😆 😆

I'd love to have your palms NEXT DOOR! Man, that would be stunning!
They'd be total morons to not appreciate the beauty you're creating.

Neighbours are often a royal pain in the arse... 🙂
glad we've got acreage!

Cheers.
