Here's a pic that shows Desert King figs that are in my coldframe. The same type of tree in my garden is just breaking dormancy to set new leaves. That's the difference between the two ... probably 6 weeks I'd guess.

Cheers, Barrie.

Beautiful, Barrie!

How do they taste, given the shorter ripening season than their native environs?

I may never know Barb if this one finds a new home. The figs in my garden are sweet in summer and the same variety.

Cheers, Barrie.

It'd be a shame to let it go to a new home before you've tasted it 😆
Great looking plant and fruit.

They (Desert King anyway) has grown from gallon sized to 6 feet in about 4 years. Not bad I guess. Never heard of 'Hardy Chigago' ... I hope it does well for you.

Cheers, Barrie.
