hi Everyone

my first post , so bear with me . I can't get my palms in the ground quite yet so I wonder if anyone on this group can help me locate where to purchase the Chilopsis linearis tree/shrub . I'm in southern ontario but if anyone knows of anyone selling this plant mail order , it would be very much appreciated . Thanks for any help you can offer .

Ahhh...the desert willow, a favorite of mine. I don't know if they ship to Canada, but you can get them from High-Country Gardens. 😉

You might want to post this also in the desert part of the forum. 😀

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Try to get the Soviet Union made hybrid x Chitalpa taschkentensis. It's pretty long blooming small tree.... Fully hardy for your zone.

Hi igor - that is anioher one that is interesting but alast , trying to find these plants in Canada is impossible and trying to find someone to ship them here is harder yet 🙂 . It is a little frustating living in one of the warmest spots in Canada and all our garden centers have is the same material they have every year . There are some sellers of seed on ebay but I prefer plants that have a good start .

Yeah, I know what you mean... A reason why this plant is cultivated here in my town is a "crazy" who collected the Chitalpa cuttings in a Botanical garden (800 km from our town) where this unusual cross has been made. I can not promise but if at time when my sister will be coming back from Kazakhstan to Acton (ON) some green cuttings would be available I could pass them with here to Canada. If she'll take them (you know this phytho control in Pirson). So let see...
