Todd, the smell of orange blossoms must be heady!
All great pics; the blooming flying dragon photo is spectacular!

Presume anole is like a chameleon?

You'll be busy grafting all those rootstocks.

Great weather from the look of it.

Thanks Todd.

I find it amazing how well those citrus grow for you.

Allen

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Todd,

Your a citrus man. Could you tell me the difference between a Calamondin and a Kumquat. Here is a recent post and picture about it. http://www.palmsnorth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1328

Thanks for popping in Todd (Laaz). Great pics as always 😀 . You've got one of the craziest citrus collections I know of, especially the variegated stuff. BTW, Cara Cara are one of my favorite citrus.
How's the other stuff doing ... palms etc?

Cheers, Barrie.

Dean the difference between Kumquats & true citrus is the Kumquats have a sour pulp & sweet peel where as most citrus have a sweet pulp and tart or sour peel. Kumquats are eaten peel & all, not so with true citrus. Calomondin is a cross between a Kumquat & a mandarin. I use my calomondins squeezed on steaks & burgers or if I'm bored I use a wrist rocket & launch a few at my neighbor across the street 😉

Barrie everything is doing great, been busy as hell in the yard lately.

Barb

Hi Barb. Yes the citrus blooms have the whole yard with a awesome scent ! Anole is one of our native lizards, and yes they change colors between brown & bright green. The do a great job of eating insects as well. Will be grafting all summer long have about 800 rootstock. Weather is great high 70's to mid 80's for the last month or so, soon we will be back in the blast furnace of summer...

You should try some flying dragon where you are, they are the most hardy off all citrus & will survive winters below 0 F with no problem. Can't eat them, but nice ornamental

I'll look for Flying Dragon seeds (or do they need to be grafted to a rootstock like you're doing?)
Thanks for the suggestion.

We'll wait for some pics of your huge job!

Barb you need seeds, Flying dragon is used as a dwarfing rootstock.
