Sorry there's nothing for scale, but it was easily 9 or 10 feet, very healthy looking.
Workers had already dug out huge Castor Bean plants in the bed behind the garden bench 15 minutes earlier. 😕
Staff said "oh is that what it is?" when I told them it was papyrus.
It was to be potted up and placed in a greenhouse owned by the City at the Waste Treatment Plant.

I was admiring the spikes at its base...but nobody offered me one.
Maybe next year...

She's a beauty! I'm glad they dug it up since they don't like -100F too often! (A little exaggeration but you understand) 😆

they don't like -100F too often
I even lost mine during a SUMMER 😆 😆
