Barb, Jay, Steve and others have given us nice images of their landscape to help us better appreciate where they are "coming from" when they post. I thought I'd do the same thing, although I lack their photographic skill and equipment. These photos from this weekend were all taken as snap shots with a cell phone camera, but hopefully they give you a sense of rural Oklahoma.

Photo 1 was taken by W the other morning from her office, 2,000' above the neighborhood. Our farm is towards the right, about 2/3 of the way up.

Photo 2 was taken later that morning as W asked the pilot to circle the farm to make sure I was up early doing chores.

Photo 3 shows the old hay W kindly deposited in the pasture near my palms, so I can use it as mulch. The old Trachy from last year is in the foreground; winter protection has not started yet as it has been so delightfully warm (lowest has been 24 oF -- I mean positive 24 oF, Duncan). The stallion and gelding decided to make sure there was nothing left worth eating before I took it.
