Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ben Green, and I live in Eudora, Ks.
I have been looking at a few palms for my yard to go along with everything else I have to dig up each year 😉
Another member told me about this forum and figured I better check it out.

Looking forward to learning lots!

Thanks,

Benjamin Green

Welcome to the forum Benjamin.

You don't have to be crazy to grow palms in Alberta..... But it helps

Welcome Ben...tons of knowledgeable folks here.
They could write a book!

How about some pics of your tropicals?

Hope you learn lots and have fun planting tropicals.
There are a lot of posters from Kansas so you will find out what works there from them.

How bout that bamboo!!! Unbelievable in a zone 5.
BTW, I still am looking forward to seeing you and having you point me to where the Timbers are. Probably in a month or so.

Sounds great. Just let me know about a week before, so I make sure I am in town.

The bamboo is fantastic. I can't wait until next year when mine will shoot again. I will have to post a few pics of mine now, each plant has 4-6 rhizomes that I can see at the surface heading in all directions! woohoo!

Thanks,

Benjamin Green

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.
