wow.........pretty harsh decision. Why jail? If the judges feel that strongly about the subject they should have abolished the earthquake agency and stopped providing public funding for it........or even better improve the old buildings by making them stronger.

That would take foresight on the judges' part...proving that they, too, miss.
Science is based on theory and research...
Scientists are resigning their jobs in droves, lest they also be held personally liable.
Who's next to be hauled into court? Stephen Hawking?

Gone mad ?? nah not really... its just a European disease. Our great leaders from the Union of European Socialist Republics has told Britain it must give prisoners the right to vote.
JUST imagine these looney tunes taking control of your Country as it has Britain... and ruined it completely. Vote UKIP 😆

prisoners the right to vote.
Call me crazy, but shouldn't the PRIVILEGE of voting (which is exactly what it is) be reserved for law-abiding citizens who pay taxes and don't have felonies on their job history?
What am I saying (rhetorical Q)...sheesh, until recently, Canadian prisoners were getting pension cheques.
Public outcry following a news story recently resulted in pensions for prisoners going into a trust account until they get out.
Prisoners still live better than our senior citizens who built this country.
Still trying to figure out what UKIP means, Andy. 😆 😆

In terms of the scientists, I wouldn't say that is a 'socialist' thing, it's something I associate more with Fascism or Communism...
Once you're convicted of a crime and sentenced to jail, you should lose your ordinary rights until you've served your time. Seems pretty logical to me.

"socialist thing" because it becomes like a mob/group responce, instead of an individual process. Example- someone dies in a big crowd and some say murder and points the finger at someone. They hang them for justice, but the person died of a heart attack. 😕

It stands for United Kingdom Independence Party. 😆 This party wants out of the European Union but our main parties Conservatives and Labour don't and will not give the Brits a referendum.
