Great story on the news tonight.
Previously camel DNA had been discovered in the Yukon.
Now Ellesmere Island has additional proof, and weather was 22 degrees warmer then (today it's -40 there!)

Back round 20-30 MYA during the PETM, the arctic wasnt just boreal forest, it was closer to what im used to, and what theyre used to down by toronto. They had Ginkgo, Bald cyprus and Dawn redwood forests up there! No ice to speak of....

Camels could come back then 😆
No wonder my ginkgo hasn't grown in 10 years.
Needs camel poop.
I'm waiting for the boreal forest edges to yield palm fronds.

We had rhinos too. Same with big cats and wild horses. Big toed sloths and what not. Most of the super large eastern forest trees with big fruit are thought to be spread dispursed by these large ice age animals before climate change/us wiped them out. I do believe you posted the link about the sloth being the primary seed disperser of the needle palm?
A few hundred million years ago you were more then likely under water 😀
