Hello to all.
I've been gaining valuable info from everyones posts about Trachy's and hope, with even more info, that I can get my 2 new additions through their first winter in zone 7a.

Welcome to the forum! Even though you are in a 7a, your more southern location allows you to have hotter summers than many of us here!

Yes, welcome Tarkus.
Most of us would kill for a 7A in which to grow our palms.
Looking forward to seeing photos of what you're up to with your Trachies.

We'll soon have you fill your house and summer patio with all sorts of palms.

Maryland should be great for palms. Cold enough to be a challenge, but not so crazy cold as to make you question your sanity.
If I can suggest, for spring, some more: needle palms, dwarf palmetto, European fan palm. All look good, are cheap and easy to find, and easy to protect in your area.

welcome to Palms North. There is much to learn and no better place to learn than here. As I have often said, "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy". We like pictures of palm trees and tropical plants, so hop to it.
