It would be hard to pick "One" favorite inside palm with so many to choose from...

Would like to add another mention for the Triangle Palms, ( and Dypsis in general)
The colors these exhibit can always brighten one's day 8)

New Frond...

BTW,

Thanks for the pic. I purchased a small palm at a local Lowe's thinking it was a Majesty, but your pic confirms that I got a Triangle. Darn "foliage" plant tag payed off for once. Can't wait to see this little guy grow.

I've bought 3 of them from my local Lowes this year, Sort of felt sorry for them, They had been sitting there since last year in those little quart pots, evertime the roots grew out the bottom they would hack them off.

I've moved them up to 2 gallon pots and they have done nothing but grow since.....

Good Luck with yours!

My little guy looks just like the one on the left in your last post. These are very easy to take care of and grow pretty quickly for me.

Sorry, should'a posted my "what's the chance of getting a Triangle in Canada" in YOUR posting...not a new thread.

If a Triangle was sold at Lowe's, maybe I should look a little more often at Home Depot.

I would think someone there would have some in stock?...... Still looking around a bit..

Lowes had these before in the "Tropical Foliage" section.
Growing these from seed is fairly easy too 8)

Nope, none at Home Depot today...or RONA (who, strangely enough, had NO plants except for a few flowering bulbs).
RONA's Kelowna store has a huge year-round greenhouse...better not though--alternator problem--would probably not make it!

...and I'm too old for seeds 😆 😆 😆

If I hear of anyone having some available your way I'll send the info.......

I germinated some this fall and they do seem grow fairly fast, If nothing else you might be able to have some nice potted specimens in 2-3 years.

Nice colors even at a small size,

Steve - you are seed sprouting machine. you must have seeds for every palm imagineable. I had a great winter sprouting seeds and I'm busting at the seams. I can't wait to get some of these out of my house and basement and into the real sun. My wife is about to blow a gasket with all the palms inside, and she doesn't know half the stuff I got. I am not sure what I'm going to do next fall because she's already telling me the palms are not coming inside. I may have to get one of those PODS and put it in my driveway.

Does she like flowering plants? Maybe some Kalanchoe in the same container as the Palms. Mount an orchid or two on the taller ones? Just a thought.... 😆--(Not that I ever have resorted to such things)

A Pod in the driveway! 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

I dream of MOVING south where Bougainvillea and Palms and Birds of Paradise and Pachypodiums (...podia? ...podii?) fill my yard.
But then life would be too easy.
Just think...one could winter in CANADA then 🙄

Steve - you sent me a couple of the Kalanchoe, and they have grown like you wouldn't believe. They are under fluorescent lighting and have grown taller and fuller. I look forward to getting these outside in a month or so.
