Scale Explosion

There are so many types of scale and thrips/aphids, etc. it's hard to ID stuff.Most of the stuff we see is actually the "poop" that insects deposit on the leaves, often leading to misdiagnosis/ID.But when suddenly the floor under the palms gets sticky and palm leaves have a shiny (watery) looking stuff here and there, it means trouble.Even the little ladybug can't keep up with the pests. Barb I spray them on the sundeck so no worries about freezing on the concrete. Soon we won`t have to worry about any freezing. 12c here today no wind and bright sun. The Trachy`s are starting to get growing again.
