Surprising because we've had very little sun in the last couple of weeks.

Sorry for forcing flash...bright near windows.
Temperatures steady near 9C ... probably too warm.
Watered everything today; that was fun.

Oh, signs of hope!
My palms closest to windows are moving, too. I'll try to take some photos this weekend.
Same with me, all the house plants are going pretty good. Although, my basjoo put on 3 leaves so far.
Ive learned that chinese fan palms are almost indestructable. Mines been baked in sun, starved in shade, dried out, over watered, cooked and frozen, and its alive. Everyone should have one of em, if only for their toughness.

Thanks folks.
Is it my imagination??? or is it pretty early for spears to be moving.
Always thought early Feb was when they started with increasing daylight/strength of sun.

EDIT: hey, that means we can start fertilizing, right??????? :headbang: :hello1: :idea1:

yeah ALL of my palms indoors are pushing new growth. I am so happy to see my Jubaea finally sending up a healthy fresh new spear. I found the Jubaea prefers moist soil and less misting than I had been giving it... trying now to keep the leaves mostly dry, maybe mist every two weeks (my new spears kept rotting).

And the Cocos nucifera--the only one in the house this winter--has pushed a new leaf.
Keep forgetting this one... 😆

So, to Barb's question: can I fertilize now?
As long as the plants are growing I try to fertilize, just not as much, half dose half as much.
