LOL the retriever in that pic look like "I LOVE PALMS!!". I vote that that dogs face is our mascot!
Bamboo palms are probably my favorite, yet I dont have one!
My advice, get the palm, take the wife out for supper.... Its win win!

Bought the Bamboo Palm today, while wife having a "girls day" with her sisters. I took a pic with my phone though and sent it to her so lessen the shock...
Her is pic in my garage with the pot I'm going to put it in.

Nice palm! One of my favorite genera.
As for the W, my trick is to take her someplace with coconut palms in winter. Give it a try. 8)

Great idea, but I'm sure she would tire of me pointing out all the ones I knew, or looking to see if there was a nursery to go to....

I buy W a big pina colada and then she happily tunes me out as I explain coconut milk production etc.
Meantime you can enjoy the view. This photo of coconut palms was taken last December...

Jim, Have you wrapped your windmills yet this fall, or still waiting and watching the weather. I'm kinda following your lead here since this is my first year.
forecast here doesn't look that bad still for yet another week.
