Can or should a majesty palm be seperated? I have 2, one had 3 stalks when I purchased it last summer now a 4th has sprouted. The Second one also has 3, but I am wondering if they would do better if they are seperated?

Thanks
Tom

the majesty palms roots are very sensitive to being disturbed. You can decide if your are willing to loose one or more of the palms by dividing.

Kent in Kansas
where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)

The Majesty palm (Ravenea rivularis) is a solitary trunking palm and does not produce off-sets ... or
yours has seeds that are still germinating at different intervals.
Any pictures could help ID your palm.

Cheers, Barrie.
