Anyone have a recommendation on a grow light to use with a mexican fan palm I will be getting this week? It's not practical for me to put this in a south facing window at my house. So I'm thinking a North window with a grow light. Can anyone point me in a good direction to go?
For what it's worth when I was at Menards today looking specifically for a plant/grow light bulb(s) I asked a rep there about the specific "plant light" bulbs vs the daylight spectrum CFL's and she told me that customers have told HER that they liked the daylight spectrum lights better, so that is what I bought.
What the customers meant by that I don't know.

I've got an old swing arm desk light that I plan on mounting on my window sill and looking for a way to use one in that. I think that's rated for 100watts, but will have to check.
The 60W single bulb I have in a table lamp is plenty bright, and only uses power for like 13w
