These people are giving away to a good home this 30 year old Palm. I would just make the roof taller myself .LOL.

I guess they are trying to make it look like they are cutting back on expenses with the reporter holding the camera
but who's filming her? 😀

Seriously cool story and what a healthy palm!
Easy fix....cut a hole in the floor 😯

Or build a new 15-foot tall skylight...

What city was that?

What type of palm? Tiny pot for all those years!

Barb it looks to be near Toronto as the comments below the video say it should be donated to the Toronto zoo. As for what type of palm it is looks to me some type of areca sp. ? Maybe somebody on the forum can chime in and give a definitive answer. They must have the perfect environment and fertilizer to have that palm grow that well indoors in such a small pot.

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

The rings on the trunk should be a giveaway for more experienced folks.
Whatever it is, it's a beauty.

I want to see a video of it being removed...

Couldn't they just saw it off a few feet down and it would regrow from that point? I think I remember something from Dr. Francko's book saying that you could do such a thing...
