Just noticed this today. Anyone know if i can pollinate it somehow? Also, you think it might be why the leaves are so pale?

Attaboy, Jesse!

The yellow leaves are usually the lowest leaves that get shed anyway.
Also a response to lower light levels over winter.
Or (lastly) lousy nutrition.

I don't know if cataractarum! palms are mono...or dioceious.

the odds are

John's male Trachy set seed this year, surprisingly.

Couldn't find anything on Cataractarum palms.

My Bamboo Palm has both male and female on the same plant.

Wow.... Mine didnt flower quite that well. Too bad I dunno how to sex the flowers. Apparently if the stalk is orange its been pollinated. Thats about all i know. Do the leaves on yours turn a weird yellow or pale green mike?

My leaves have been green and flourishing on this plant. Althogh, on other cat palms, I have had yellowing and browning. I try to sex my plants up as well as I can, LOL!!!!

I only got half way through Mike's video. 😳

Don't have cat palms, but Chameadorea radicalis are sending up flower stalks. They've been outside about a month, except on the coldest nights.
