Hi turtile. One thing you will want to add is a peek or pitch to the top. If you leave it flat, no matter how hard you try the water will accumulate on top. Most any small fan will do. Wal-Mart has many options. How will this be set up? Laying one the ground, raised or in the garage ?

Thanks for the reply. The greenhouse will be raised off the ground in my basement. The top part isn't done yet but I may make it flat since it will be inside most of the time. I had to make it in two parts to fit it around the corner and into the basement.

Do you think normal fans will be fine (Humidity)? I want to make sure I get it right the first time. I also can't find a weather proof power strip - should have got it before Christmas. I'm thinking about using a normal one also.

Tutile what are you using for a grow light? Great job on the mini greenhouse. I would not seal it up as your palms will do better with the top open while inside. You will have less problems with mould and fungus.

I have a couple small pancake style fans left. These may be about the right size for what you need. These make good intake/exhaust and circ. fans in smaller areas.

These are low voltage- 12 VDC. So you would need a small 12V power supply, battery charger, etc, to run them.

Just some stuff I have laying around. You are more than welcome to give them a try if you want 8)

I've decided to use normal fans. Thanks for the offer Steve. Are the fans from an older computer?

Do you think leaving the cover on for part of the day with the fans on 24/7 will be good? I want the greenhouse to be like outdoor weather so they are already hardy.

I'm using a ValueTek 125w setup w/ a sun index of 93%. I'm adding infrared bulbs as well.

It will probably take some experimenting to find what works best, if the humidity is high enough 24/7 on the fans is beneficial. If too low it will dry things out.

Sort of the same thing with opening the cover, You will have higher humidity inside from the moisture in the medium. Trying to vary things for around 80*F ambient with 50% humidity works well for me. ( But this is just the approach I take to seedlings )
