If I had known then, what I know now. I would have gotten my greenhouse a year ago and would still have a lot of palms that died last Winter.
We have a morning low of 25 degrees. Whilt in the greenhouse with just the one heater on a low setting, it is 57 degrees.
I think when it gets colder on a regular basis, I will but two heaters in there, one on each side, but for now 57 ain't bad.

57F is good. Did you get the 6X8 or 10X12? .

If you have dry sunny winters that should help keep your new geen house nice and toasty.

OP, I got the little 8X6, and I think I did right cause as crowded as it is right now, it doesn't have a lot of wasted area to heat.
Macario, I ALWAYS hope for a dry sunny Winter 😆 . Whats the forecast for Chicago this Winter? You gonna be safe?

wes - do you think the 8X6 would be easy to take apart in springtime and put up in the fall.? Because of our neighborhood homes association I cant have a permanent structure in my yard. But I am thinking I might try a portable greenhouse and see if I can get a way with it. But it would have to come down each springtime. What do you think, is it an easy fix?

OOCH! I don't know my friend. I am pretty good at putting things togethher and I had to have the help of two different people to get it figured out. If you have patience, yes, if you do not have patience like me, then probably not.

I have a question for all.
In the greenhouse I have a heater that keeps it warm and has one of those tiny fans built it. But do I need to put a regular fan in there also to keep the air moving around because it seems VERY humid in there.

My greenhouse.... the blue stuff on the side is a plastic wrap I put on to keep some heat in.
A real mess, I know. But I was told to cram as much in as possible as the more you have in, the easier it is to heat and the cheaper it is also.

nicely crammed wes. Your greenhouse looks just like my greenhouse would look if I had one. I would think you would need a small fan at the top of the greenhouse blowing the air back down. Those little heaters with the fans blow some hot dry air , make sure you keep several buckets of water in the GH just to keep the humidity at an acceptable level during periods when the heaters run alot.
