Palms have new growth since bringing in Late October.
Guess they have settled down and are ready for winter time.

Great specimens Don...both links opened for me.

Hey Erik,
Your photos are hosted somewhere...Picassa, Flickr, many other photo sites.

I've got mine on Flickr.
Once a picture is saved on Flickr and I want to post it here, I go to the Flickr page, click on the photo.
I can select Small Medium or Large (I select Medium), and then underneath it you'll find code specific to where to find that picture on the web.

Highlight that code, press Ctrl C (which copies the code), then open Palms North page that says Reply.

Then look (right above here)...see the B, i, u, Quote, Code, List, List= ?
The next one is Img, followed by URL.

Click on Img once (you'll see the img appear on the page where you were typing) then press Ctrl V (to paste your picture code).

One more step: You'll now see Img (up above) with an *. You have to press on Img* after you've pasted your picture code.

Think of the Img Img* as toggle on, toggle off, and your picture location code gets plunked in between the two.

Then Preview your message, and presto, up pops your picture into the Preview of your message.

Give it a try, Erik.

Don, what's your main heat source in the GH? Whatever method, it's effective from the look of those banana leaves.
Great specimens of good size. Starting more palm seeds? That purple cordyline? is stunning.
Does everything go out on the patio during summer?

The new link worked perfectly. Thanks, Don!
Barb and Jim,
I use Picasa, a Google product. I have used Flickr and prefer it to Picasa and photobucket, but Picassa is so linked into gmail I use it for photos.
I think I need to try Barb's detailed method. So, look out for trials tomorrow put up for no other reason than to see if I can do it.
Don,
If you have Picasa-specific tips fo rembedding photos, please let me know.

Is what I use for my main source of heat,in all but one I use a oil filled radiator in the greenhouse in front of the garage,it keeps everything about 50*,if I loose electricity I have a propane heater for back up.

Yes I have hundreds of palm seeds going at the moment, some are just starting to pop now.
All different kinds some semi hardy and some sub and tropical.

Yes most everything will go outside come spring, until late October, many things will be planted in the ground and then repotted back up.

Erik,
Easiest for me is to go to the picture, click on,when it gets to the big size, right click a window comes up,click on properties, upon left top of page, another window appears, right click in that window, click on select all ,to highlight the url, right click, on the highlighted url and click on copy,go back to your message window in Palms North and right click, click on paste.

this will give you a click able link,to the picture.
Now to get the picture to appear in the message block, first you have to click the img, under the subject box.
And paste the same url you just copied or any other picture you want using the same method.

Oh by the way I graduated from Owasso,Okla north east of Tulsa, and was the Manager of Sandys across from
McClains High school on 5000 block on North peoria!
Over 40yrs ago!

Good idea about the backup propane heat.

I have only a backup idea...if power goes out, I'll drag my propane BBQ over to the palm hut and turn it on in the doorway. 😆

Here's to all the global warming pushers, may your winters be -30 below and four feet of snow in your driveway. Because I want you happy.

Holy cow, Don, that's an amazing list.

Do you buy your seeds from CFPACS in Florida?
That's where I bought my Foxtail seeds, hoping for fresh seeds.

Maybe post some pics on Germination when they pop.
Thanks.
