Barb,
the red sealing wax palm would be awesome!
I'm into Sabal lately. I have Sabal minor seeds from the Tulsa Zoo, where they have lived unprotected for decades.
I'll be back in Belize soon and may try to bring some seeds home....

25 T.Manipur.

I may go ahead and germinate the rest of my Bulgarian Trachy seeds too,
not doing any good sitting in a bag right now.

Not very inspired to germinate much these days as I already have 100
seedlings clogging up every window and free space 😯

Working on Borassus aethiopum
http://www.pacsoa.org.au/palms/Borassus/aethiopum.html

Here's what a seed pod looks like (usually 3 seeds per pod)

Seeds,

Germinated,

And the necessary tall containers,

Steve

Wow Steve, those 3 hairy things were inside that big pod?
Seem to be well suited to floating on an ocean for a long time, reminds me of the larger coconut.
Borassus is a beautiful palm, lovely fronds, really like the silver/white trunk.

and Jim, isn't it upsetting to see warmer temps N of your latitude?

Hope to see some germination pics soon folks!
Good luck.
