Love the Bottle Palm. I bought one 2 years ago at a local nursery for about $20. It was during the winter, discounted etc. It struggled thru the winter, came back last summer and really looks pretty good right now. It made it thru winter inside in a west window.

Kent in Kansas
where it's cold in winter (always)
and hot in summer (usually)

I am going back to the Mayan Riveria next week and where I am staying they have some awesome bottle palms.
I don't know when they get seeds but if they are there now I might have to bring some home.

These are one of my favourite palms

Wes - got it at Family Tree Nursery in Overland Park KS -. I'll post a picture of it in a day or two. It is very nice. They have nice stuff, but it is very expensive (usually).

I love the variegation on the young plant's frond edges.
What a healthy little guy!

How are the Bottle Palms doing, Steve? Specimen sized plants would be fantastic. Though they already show grace when young.

Dean, I really should have started some of these several years ago, ( I have been missing out on a good thing 🙂

Easy growers and no problems so far,

Looking good, Steve!

I was at a nursery today and saw a 5 foot tall bottle palm. The largest part of the bulb was about one foot across.
Are you sitting down?
The price was $560.00 😯

I passed on that one.
