This is a small understory Palm from Madagascar that should do well in a shady spot.

Some germinated seeds.

One on it's way.... 8)

These arrived already germinated, so into a 30% Perlite/Potting Soil mix to see how they do.

I had a look at Google Images to see what type of palm it is and there's only a few pics (compared to thousands normally).

6-10 feet a year...wow. You'll have to raise the roof to get it back inside!

You must have just been reading the thread below this ,( Pigafetta), I hope these grow nothing like that 😆 😆

These will probably top out about 6' and should do well in a container, not too sure how it would handle the low humidity in the Winter but it is fun to try!

Thanks for the Photos too!

Steve

Thanks Barb, happy to see it growing!
Some things won't grow here no matter what I do. I really like these smaller Dypsis & Licualas and hoping my luck holds out 8)

Steve you sure have me looking at Google images a lot.
I've never heard of most of the plant names you grow! 😯
The licuala is a stunning palm...
and the dypsis'll lift your GH roof, ha ha.

Nicely done.
