Is it a good idea as a maintenance thing to add lime to potted palm soil?

My garden soil is 7.2 so I've never needed to add lime.
Even the sunshine soil mix #4 is 6.5 pH, so pretty good (I asked the company who makes it).

A pH test kit is advisable but here's a couple of tips at bottom of page:

If you drink, don't drive. Don't even putt.
