It probably isn't the frog to the left of the Z.furfuracea.

That looks like either caterpillar or grasshopper (not likely) damage. Bt should work on the former; the latter you can kill by hand if you can see them. Keep us posted if you find any suspects.

Boy they like that one. I was thinking grasshoppers. But on the right side it dosen't look like grasshoppers.

I've looked and looked, cannot see a thing anywhere.
Too early for grasshoppers around here (usually end-August, if we get any at all).
Moving the plant to another area in the hope the munching will stop.

Steve, the munching has stopped.
And other cycads in the old spot aren't touched.
Still can't see anything except the odd small ant.
Ooooh, the damage on that Cordyline!!!
Where are flocks of starlings/blackbirds when you need them, huh?
I'd make sure the plant is in shade until it recovers and sends up undamaged new growth.

I suspect the latter, Barb... although that looks more like a toad than a frog. Would that make it a toad stool?
