Sounds like you had a good winter.
My Palms didn't do that well 😐
I'm waiting to see if the robusta in the yard survived, think I told you something tore the poly up the night it was -7*F out?
(Even lost the Sabal minors in there, so it had to be cold.....................

The Cycads held all their fronds through the winter, these "'Wilailak" are holding about ten each, not sure if there's room for any more to grow 😀

Here's my first Sago to start up,

Steve

I just noticed something Steve. You cut your last flush off (or from shipping). I think I will try that with mine. Works on everything else, so it should work for this.

Wes, The fronds were cut for shipping. Trimming the fronds can induce a new flush, but it's also going to use up energy the plant has stored. With mine, I'm trying to keep as many fronds as possible, seems to speed up overall growth.

Heat does a good job of inducing flushes too, I wrapped the Ceratozamia containers with Christmas lights as soon as I settled them in. Took about a month for the first one to start up.

Good results so early, Steve.

It'll be nice to see them fill out this summer.
Should be good sizes.

Mine aren't doing much of anything.
Little sun, even less heat.

Hi Barb, Hopefully your weather will take a turn for the better soon!
We're getting some warmer days, but still having some nights in the 30's

The Ceratozamia is still moving along,

Has just a tinge of brown/bronze in the emergent leaf tips,

Steve

Nice pics Steve, thanks for posting (especially that close-up)! 😀

Mid-afternoon temps are nice here finally...
Great to see the sun again.

No problems here 8) However, it is scary to see these big Cottonwoods whip around!
We had up to 60mph wind gust all day long, here's a local article from Salina,

Sorry, but what with 70's & 80's temps, I think the ground is too warm to support any accumulation, especially if it rains alot first which is what they are saying.

I will take some pics today as I worked last night and have spare time (baby is at babysetter).

Here is my Rumphii that is putting out a flush. Weird thing is, this tree just got done putting out a leaf literally 2 weeks ago.
