I bought this from TYTY (yeah I know) but came to me in good shape. Planted in a pot and put it my office at work. It was a little too cool outside when I got it. It started to slowly turn brown. SO I took it home and put it outside. Then it quickly turned real brown. SO I figured I murdered it. I tookand chopped all the leaves or whatever their called. Left the bulb in the pot and bam 2 weeks later I looked at it and see growth. Sorry about the blurry photo. Tried taking a macro lense shot without a tripod.

Looks like you've got a nice Dioon Spinulosum there. Robert Chumley

I live on 12 acres in Central Florida about half way between Tampa and Walt Disney World.I have seed colonies of over 60 varieties of cycads. I have over one half acre of variegated cycads and I make many hybrids as well.

I am amazed at how fast it is growing. This is 8 days later from when I noticed it starting to flush.

Moving right along! It must be happy with the care it's getting 8)

Do you have it in full sun?
(trying to decide where the best spot for mine would be)

Bob, Thanks for the info. They all seem to be settling in and starting to display some growth. 8)
(Both of the Dioons are probably a week or two away from starting a flush )
