Has anyone on the board tried to over winter any of these out yet? I think they might be a decent one to try since they say on the small side for quite a long time. This means a small palm hut! If there kept dry they can take a good amount of cold too I think. If there's previous post on this I apologize. I want to try a few next winter.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,

I tried several years ago with a revoluta X taitungensis, came through okay but started to decline in the spring.
Also had some Zamia floridana that were down near single digit temps. I ended up bringing everything back into the GH. ( Some of the Zamias survived, but took until the end of August for any new growth)

My problem was too much moisture in the planting area. The cold & damp will eventually start a decline. If you can figure out a method to keep the soil dry during the winter months it should work.
Let me know too 😆

Steve

Thanks Steve, I'm going to try and figure something out for next year. It would be awesome to have a few of them in the garden.
