After seeing one of my Kings do this and looking at Lucky's last photo of a flushing King (which is about as perfect as a pic as there is. WHAT a great pic!!) I noticed that the old flush seems to slide away from the crown. This makes sense, but I guess I had never noticed that.
Is it a pre cursor to a new flush when the old leafs seem to slide away and down the trunk?
On it's way....
The leaves it's holding will move away from the crown to make room for new 8) ( this is also part of trunk growth)

Great. Looks like two of my bigger Kings are about to flush then! Thanks Steve.
