What about yours???
One of my Wilailik is putting out a new leaf. Hopefully the reports are right and this species will be the fastest growing Cycad in the World. Sure is doing well for me.
One of my Taitungensis is putting on a new leaf. This WAS the fastest growing Cycad until Wilailik was discovered.
One of my Kings is flushing now. This particular one, I bought in Manhattan, Ks after I saw it had a cute lil pup. This must be a REALLY healthy King as it has suffered no sun burn, has a pup and is flushing in May. It has a Caduex size of about half of a football.
I got 5 Taitungensis X Guizhouensis Hybrid seeds from Robert Chumley. One is rotting cause some dummy planted it too deep and the caduex rotted. But the 4 others are all doing GREAT. However, and I thought this was interesting, of the 4, all have definate size differances. What is neat is that the last to put out a leaf, also has a second leaf starting and is already almost to open. Then the third to leaf out is also pushing a new leaf which is smaller then the 4th one. The second to flush is just now starting to push out a second leaf. WHile the very first one that leafed is not pushing up any new flush. So it's like they are going in exact opposite order for there second leaf 😆
I believe my Dioon Holmgreenii is also going to push a new leaf soon, but not real sure about it.

Man oh man, flushing in May is VERY EARLY....most of us are lucky if our Cycads flush in SUMMER!
Well done!

My c. panzi is pushing out new growth right now. I got mine from Lori at Jurrasic.
It has been in the ground since I got it back in March.
